Art Frankel is a small time drug dealer who is head over heels in love with the luminous Cody Wesson. When she falls into a coma from an overdose, Art wil do anything to save her. He seeks aid from his homeless friend Harvey – and a time machine he found in the dumpster. Desperate to reach her, Art embarks on a quest through time and space deep into Cody’s past. After several humiliating attempts to figure out where things went wrong, it slowly begins to dawn on Art that the real problem in Cody’s life may just be him. What ensues is a series of increasingly reckless attempts to avoid the one thing he fears most – surrendering his love for Cody in exchange for her life.
