Award-winning and critically acclaimed ITV series The Assembly will return for a third run.

Fresh from a series jam-packed with stars including Sir Stephen Fry, Sir Lenny Henry, Rylan and Nicola Sturgeon, the unique interview format will boast an exciting new line-up of plucky celebrities.

Now famous for their no-holds-barred approach, The Assembly – a remarkable group of inquisitive interviewers who are autistic, neurodivergent and/or learning disabled – will expertly quiz those in the hotseat, asking questions viewers didn’t even know they wanted answered.

Hailed as one of The Guardian’s “best TV shows of 2026”, which dubbed the show a “delightful gem” in its 5* review, the third series will be 6 x 30” run, plus the return of extra montage episodes Unseen and More Unseen. News on which six VIPs are bravely taking part will be announced in due course.

The Assembly has been streamed 6.9 million times, and reached over 10 million viewers across ITV channels and ITVX. On YouTube figures have reached 2 million and are rising.

The series is produced by Rockerdale Studios who, together with ITV, have worked with autistic and neurodivergent organisations to ensure every element of The Assembly works for and with autistic and neurodivergent voices. It was commissioned by Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment, Reality & Daytime Commissioning ITV and David Smyth, Entertainment & Reality Commissioner ITV. The Executive Producers are Michelle Singer and Stu Richards for Rockerdale Studios. It will air on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment, Reality & Daytime Commissioning ITV said: “We’re immensely proud of this series. The Assembly takes the celebrities and viewers on a complete rollercoaster ride – it really is a show where you have to expect the unexpected.”

David Smyth, Entertainment & Reality Commissioning Editor ITV: “There are so many more celebrities who need The Assembly experience. Everyone that’s done it walks away saying it’s the best thing they’ve ever done, and the warmth we receive from fans and critics alike shows viewers agree. We can’t wait to get cracking with more.”

Michelle Singer, Rockerdale Studios: “That we get to return to ask more questions of even more celebrities is thrilling, of course. That our brilliant team on and behind the cameras can come back to do what, collectively, we do best is wonderful. We can’t wait for audiences to see and hear more.”

Stu Richards, Rockerdale Studios: “Crikey, here we go again, I’m buzzing. I can’t wait to make a show in which we ask Queen Camilla about her first kiss or The Pope how often he clips his toenails. To be clear we haven’t booked any of those people, I’m just manifesting.”

The show’s format, distributed by CAN’T STOP media, is an adaptation of French series Les Rencontres du Papotin. It now airs in 20 territories including Canada, Australia and Brazil, with more than 250 celebrities already welcomed globally, including Erling Haaland, Gal Gadot, Antonio Banderas and Catherine Deneuve.
