Paramount Pictures has unveiled Ebenezer, a new take on the classic Charles Dickens tale that promises to show audiences “the name you know, the story you don’t.”
Set for release on 13 November 2026, the film stars Johnny Depp as Ebenezer Scrooge and is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ti West.
The impressive ensemble cast includes Rupert Grint, Andrea Riseborough, Sam Claflin, Daisy Ridley, Arthur Conti, Ellie Bamber, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Charlie Murphy, Tramell Tillman, and Ian McKellen.
While plot details remain under wraps, Paramount’s tagline suggests a fresh and unexpected interpretation of one of literature’s most famous characters. With West at the helm and Depp leading a high-profile cast, Ebenezer is already shaping up to be one of the most intriguing holiday-season releases of 2026.
