Apple Scores at the Critics Choice Awards
Apple TV is kicking off the year in style, scoring seven major wins at the 31st Annual Critics Choice Awards — including Best Comedy Series for The Studio and dual craft wins for the record‑breaking Apple Original Film F1, now officially the highest‑grossing sports feature of all time.
The most Emmy‑winning freshman comedy in history, The Studio, continued its awards‑season sweep with acting wins for Seth Rogen (Best Actor in a Comedy Series) and Ike Barinholtz (Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series). Apple’s prestige dramas also made their mark, with Rhea Seehorn winning Best Actress in a Drama Series for Pluribus, and Tramell Tillman taking home Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Severance.
These victories add to Apple’s growing Critics Choice legacy, following wins in 2025 for Mr. Scorsese, in 2023 for Pachinko and Black Bird, and in 2022 when Ted Lasso swept the comedy categories for a second consecutive year. Apple’s Oscar‑winning film CODA also made Critics Choice history when Troy Kotsur became the first Deaf actor to win Best Supporting Actor.
To date, Apple Originals have amassed 672 wins and 3,028 nominations, spanning films, documentaries, and series — a staggering haul for a streamer that continues to redefine prestige TV.
