Born Reckless (1930) +1
Quick on the trigger. The heart speaks and the gun replies! When notorious mobster Louis Beretti is arrested, a sympathetic judge offers him a choice: face hard time in prison or join the U.S. Army to fight on the frontlines of World War I. Choosing the battlefield, Beretti serves with distinction and returns home a decorated hero, determined to leave his criminal past behind and go straight. But when his former gang kidnaps his close friend’s child for ransom, Beretti must pick up his guns once more to wage an uncompromising war on his old crew. Directed by legendary filmmaker John Ford, Born Reckless (1930) is a gritty pre-Code crime drama blending underworld action, war heroism, and classic mob warfare.
