It’s almost time to trust in the Force and listen to your heart.

Fresh from her adventures in Star Wars: Visions, Kara resumes her quest to find her missing father and evade Jedi Hunters in Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi, a new limited series from Lucasfilm and Production I.G.

It’s almost time to slap the screen for this silliness, just post the trailer already goshdarnit!!

PopcornpiecesThere’s a special kind of marketing madness that only Hollywood could invent — the trailer for a trailer. A breathless 15‑second countdown, a dramatic sting, a flash of lightsaber or explosion, all designed to hype the actual trailer arriving tomorrow. It’s advertising for advertising, hype for hype, and somehow we’ve all agreed to pretend it’s normal.

Studios once released trailers to promote movies. Now they release trailers to promote trailers, which promote movies, which promote streaming platforms, which promote subscriptions. It’s a hype‑matryoshka doll, and every layer feels more absurd than the last.

Aaah, the fatigue of being told to “come back tomorrow” for something that used to simply exist. Instead of a reveal, we get a reminder. Instead of excitement, we get homework. And instead of a trailer drop, we get a teaser for the trailer drop — a marketing ouroboros swallowing its own tail.

The irony? These micro‑teasers work. They trend. They get shared. They spark speculation. They keep fandoms buzzing. But they also dilute the magic of the trailer itself, turning what used to be a cinematic event into a drip‑feed of corporate hype.

This article stands as a small rebellion — a reminder that fans don’t need a trailer for a trailer. We just want the trailer.
