Narrow Escapes Returns
Narrow Escapes sails back onto Channel 4 from Monday 1 June, bringing a fresh 20‑episode run of life on the water — new characters, new adventures, and for the first time ever, a trip north into Scotland. Weekdays at 4pm, kettle on, feet up.
New Arrivals on the Waterways
This year’s newcomers bring plenty of charm:
- Fergus — turning his wide‑beam on the Thames into a boutique ice‑cream parlour, because why not make dessert mobile
- Tom — a first‑time boater swapping home comforts for a narrowboat and a whole new way of living
- Amy — a performance artist staging a floating cabaret show (expect sparkle, possibly splashes)
- Kate — a stained‑glass artist crafting canal‑inspired pieces from her floating workshop
Returning Favourites
Back for more:
- Jay — veteran, comedian, and proof that life afloat can be both healing and hilarious
- Debs & Mick — racing the canals to make it to their wedding on time
- Margaret & Tony — the octogenarian adventurers who refuse to slow down
Scotland Joins the Journey
For the first time, the series heads north to explore:
- The engineering wonder of the Falkirk Wheel
- The dramatic beauty of the Scottish Highlands
- The legendary waters of Loch Ness
Drama, Engineering & Everyday Magic
Expect everything from navigating the historic Crofton flight to following the River Canal Rescue team as they tackle emergencies — including raising a sunken narrowboat and clearing a dangerous lock blockage
