The Making of Daredevil: Season 1

In 2013, amid the rise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Netflix and Marvel teamed up to build a slate of shows based on street-level characters in the Marvel Universe. Leading the pack was none other than lawyer-by-day, vigilante-by-night Matthew Murdock: Daredevil. Helmed by Drew Goddard and Steven S. DeKnight, and inspired by the legendary comic books of Frank Miller, Ann Nocenti, David Mack, and Brian Michael Bendis, Daredevil not only told the story of one man’s mission to save Hell’s Kitchen from the Kingpin of Crime, but the lengths a community must go to rid themselves of corruption; a story that arguably feels even more relevant today than it did ten years ago.
