LONDON, UK (September 17th, 2026) – The road to Warsaw begins this September as the UEFA Women’s Champions League returns to ESPN on Disney+, where fans across Europe can once again watch all 75 matches of the competition, all included as part of existing subscriptions.

The 2026/27 season gets underway on 22 and 23 September with Matchday 1, marking the start of another thrilling campaign featuring the very best of European women’s club football. Across the season, the continent’s biggest teams and brightest stars will compete for a place in the 2027 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final at Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.

This season also sees the launch of “The Hangout”, a new live studio format designed to deliver a new matchday experience for fans watching on Disney+. Airing live from 17:00 to 22:30 on matchdays, the show will accompany every UEFA Women’s Champions League fixture during the League Phase and Quarter Finals, delivering pre-match build-up, half-time analysis and post-match reaction throughout the evening.

Alex Scott MBE and Shebahn Aherne will alternate hosting duties throughout the competition, joined by a line-up of expert pundits including broadcaster and former England international Leanne Sanderson, former Manchester City defender and Premier League regular Nedum Onuoha, and Dutch sisters Sanne and Merel van Dongen. Together, they will bring unrivalled insight and analysis from across the women’s game.

“The Hangout” will also welcome social media creators with deep connections to the women’s football community, creating a space where football culture, conversation and analysis of the action come together. Combining expert analysis with fresh perspectives and fan engagement, the show will keep audiences connected to the tournament’s biggest moments and stories as they unfold.

All matches will be produced by ESPN. Disney+ customers will be able to follow their local teams in their own language. Every game will be available in English, plus the languages of the playing teams. From the Knockout Phase Play-Offs onward, all matches will be broadcast in a minimum of five European languages. Alongside “The Hangout”, dedicated presenters will be at every ground, bringing viewers closer to the atmosphere, excitement and drama from stadiums across Europe.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League is part of Disney+ and ESPN’s growing sports offering across Europe, with Formula E set to join the line-up from the 2026/27 season. Across the offering, ESPN brings its production expertise, analysis and storytelling to sports fans on Disney+.

In select countries, the offering includes additional premium live sport, including LALIGA in France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland, as well as Saturday night LALIGA action in the UK & Ireland. Football fans can also already enjoy the Copa del Rey in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, and the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League in Sweden and Denmark. From the 2027/28 season, the UEFA Champions League will also join the line-up in Sweden.

ESPN on Disney+ also offers college sports including the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments (March Madness), the College Football Playoff, as well as events including the Little League World Series and the Savannah Bananas. In select markets, customers can also enjoy the NBA and NHL from the 2026/27 season.
