Twenty-nine-year-old Germán Andrés is gay, works at a call centre, lives with his mother and has never had a stable partner. As he approaches 30, the pressure to “settle down” pushes him to look for love before his birthday—preferably before turning 30 becomes a full-blown crisis. But in an age of polyamory, ghosting, and commitment phobia, finding the perfect match feels almost impossible.

Playing Around (aka Soy German Andres Yanez (G.A.Y)) is a sparkling romantic gay comedy from Colombia about the trials and tribulations of being single. All 10 episodes of this mini-series are collected together for everyone to enjoy and should appeal to fans of The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family.

James Camargo De Alba is our charismatic, self-doubting hero Germán Andrés but he’s also director, and scriptwriter. He has developed projects across many mediums including short films, La Declaración (2023), Room Service (2024), TV series La Costilla De Eva and the web series ¡Mucha Mier…! (2017).
